CHARLESTON, W.VA -- The University of Charleston Men's Basketball team (14-13, 8-13 MEC) suffered its fourth straight loss to Concord University (11-16, 7-14 MEC) on Thursday night in Athens.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Charleston jumped out in front leading the Mountain Lions 16-6 with just over 14 minutes to go in the first half. Concord brought the score within 3 (24-21) following a fast break by senior forward Stephen Thompson.
- Charleston turned on the juice late in the first half going on a 12-4 run that would give the Golden Eagles an 11 point advantage. Concord followed up by scoring 5 unanswered points before heading into the locker room trailing Charleston 30-36.
- Following the break Charleston held on to its' lead until a three pointer by Concord's Tommy Bolt tied the game up a 41-41. Bolt followed up with another deep ball to give Concord it's first lead of the night. After a tying score by Senior Elliot Cole the Mountain Lions went on a 20-8 run to build a 14 point advantage with just over 8 minutes to go.
- The Golden Eagles fought through the second half, but Concord would continue to spread the gap leading by as many as 25 points in the closing minutes of competition.
- At the end of regulation the Mountain Lions topped the Golden Eagles 89-66.
GOLDEN EAGLES LEADERS
- Senior guard Elliot Cole notched 26 points to lead Charleston, while Jaylen Hinton scored a career high 10 points.
- Senior Justin Coleman brought down 9 rebounds in the loss.
CONCORD INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Tommy Bolt led the charge putting up 29 points and 8 rebounds.
- Stephen Thompson and Aaron Miller each had 15 points.
FROM THE SCORER'S TABLE
- Concord outscored the Eagles 50-28 in the paint.
- Charleston shot 42.1 percent from the field and went 8-13 from the free throw line.
