CHARLESTON, W.Va.-- The University of Charleston Women's Lacrosse team (0-4, 0-0 MEC) team fell 15-14 to The University of the Cumberlands (2-1, 0-0 MID-SOUTH) on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Charleston found the back of the next first with a goal lest than two minutes into competition., but the Patriots answered a few possessions later tying the game up at 1-1. Emma Renda scored her first goal of the game a 24:26 to put UC up by one (2-1). Charleston went on to score four unanswered goals before the Patriots Samantha Tullar put one away bringing the score to 6-2 UC. Charleston's Samantha Jones scored her third goal of the game at 15:01 giving UC the 7-2 advantage.
- Charleston would score three more times before time expired, while the Patriots only put up two more sending the teams into the break with Charleston up 10-4.
- University of the Cumberlands started the scoring off with a goal by Samantha Tullar at 29:49. The Patriots would score two more unanswered goals before Emma Renda scored her second goal of the day for Charleston. Amanda Phillips answered for the Patriots at 24:55 bringing the score to 11-8, Charleston. After Charleston scored two minute later, the Patriots would go on a 5-0 run tying the game up at 19:02 and taking the lead just under three minutes later (13-12).
- Esther Yi tied the game up for UC with just over five minutes to go in regulation. The patriots would take the lead back at 4:21 with a goal by Amanda Phillips. With 1:21 left in regulation Rachel Kerwin of Charleston found the back of the net to tie the game up for the Golden Eagles sending the game into overtime.
- The Patriots would score with 1:48 left in regulation to end the game ahead of the Golden Eagles 15-14.
CHARLESTON INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Samantha Jones score four times to lead the Golden Eagles.
- Aryanna Jones and Emma Renda each tabbed hatricks for Charleston.
INDIANA TECH, INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Samantha Tullar tabbed six goals for the Patriots.
