FAIRMONT, W.Va.. – Golden Eagle men's tennis dropped a close 5-4 match at No. 2 regionally ranked Fairmont State University on Tuesday evening.
Fairmont jumped ahead after double play, 2-1, as the Golden Eagles could only come up with one court winning at No. 2 doubles, 8-3, behind the play of Ben Lakeman and Alek Gracin.
Needing to win 4 of the 6 singles courts, Charleston would come up just shy splitting the six matches 3-3, getting wins by Alec Foote, Lakeman, and Jamie Gibson.
