URBANA, Ohio – Charleston's win streak ends at 8 games as the Golden Eagles get swept by Shepherd University, 5-1 and 12-4, Sunday afternoon at Triana Field.

Game 1
-Charleston's Nick Wilson got the scoring started in the Golden Eagle 2
nd, hitting his 3
rd HR of the season to put UC up 1-0. Tristan Fields drove in Steven Davis later in the inning to put UC ahead 2-0 after 2 innings.
-Wilson was back at it again in the 3
rd, hitting a 2-run double that put the Golden Eagles up 4-0 but a 4-run 3
rd by Urbana evened the game at 4-4 going into the 4
th inning.
-UC responded in the 4
th after the Blue Knights tied the game, scoring 5 runs of their own highlighted by a Brice Arrington 2-run triple that scored Jesse Elliott and Fields.
-Charleston extended the lead to 11-5 heading to the 6
th inning of the scheduled 7 inning game before Urbana got to UC reliever Harrison Bell for 3 runs and narrow the Charleston lead to 11-10 after 6 complete.
-The Golden Eagles added an insurance run in the 7
th on an Arrington RBI single to let closer Levi Nash close the door on any Urbana rally and earn a save in the 12-10 UC win.
Game 2
-A 3-run third for Charleston highlighted by a Gianfranco Morello 2-run HR looked to put UC in a position to possibly get a road sweep of Urbana, but a 4-run fourth gave the Blue Knights their first lead of the afternoon.
-Charleston knotted the game 4-4 on Morello's 3
rd RBI of the game only to see their bullpen let them down late in the game as the Knights scored the game's final 5 runs to split the series with Charleston, taking Game 2, 9-4
