WISE, Va. -- UC men's tennis returned to their winning ways Friday afternoon, defeating the UVa.-Wise Cavaliers, 8-1, to win their 7
th match of the season and evening their MEC record to 1-1
Coach Matt Santen used his depth and played 10 rostered Golden Eagles in the victory over Wise. Charleston swept all three doubles courts, surrendering just 4 total games in the three matches, including an 8-0 win at No. 3 from the pair of Jacob Adkins and Bryson Tye.
The Golden Eagles took five of the six singles courts to cruise to the 8-1 win, highlighted by a 6-0, 6-0 victory by Marcelo Quevedo at No. 6 singles. Charleston returns to the court on Tuesday to make a short trip to Institute, W.Va., taking on the West Virginia State University Yellow Jackets.
