CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Men's Volleyball team (11-14 ,0-11 EIVA) fell in three sets to Harvard University (8-10, 5-4 EIVA).
 
THE BASICS
SCORE: Harvard 3; Charleston 0 (25-20, 25-21,25-16)
LOCATION: Charleston, W.Va.

SET 1
-Harvard jumped ahead to a five-point lead, but after a kill by Eugene Stuart UC cut the lead to 4. Charleston went on a 4-0 run to bring the score within one, but an attacking error by Stuart allowed Harvard to keep the two-point lead.
-After a service error by the Crimson, Charleston was within one point of tying the game up. Harvard maintained the lead on the next service (12-10). Down 13-14 a blocking error by Harvard tied the game up 14-14. Brain Cranston gave UC the lead on the next serve sending one just past the Harvard back line.
-Two points later Harvard took the lead. Harvard maintained a four-point lead through the rest of the game, before a UC attacking error game them the 22-17 lead.
-With the score set at 24-20 Charleston had the serve to stay alive, but the Crimson would score on the return taking set one 25-20.
 
SET 2
-Charleston kept the game close through most of the second set, but the Crimson went on a 4-0 run to lead the Golden Eagles by 6 halfway through the set. Charleston brought the score within three points after a block by 1 and Santos.
-The Crimson took the lead back and built a 5-point advantage, but UC kept battling and brought the score within three points with a kill by Ryan Santos (16-13).
-The Golden Eagles brought the score within one score, but Harvard was able to pull ahead to take the second set 25-21.
 
SET 3
-The Crimson jumped ahead and maintained a five-point lead through most of the third set until Brian Cranston hit a ball to the left side to cut the lead to just four points. The Crimson jumped ahead again and build a seven-point advantage leading the Golden Eagles 18-11.
-Harvard took a 24-16 lead before a service error would send the Crimson over the Golden Eagles 25-16.
 
 
CHARLESTON LEADERS
-Ryan Santos and Brian Cranston each had 7 kills for the Golden Eagles in the loss.
 
CRIMSON LEADERS
-Casey White tabbed 11 kills over three sets to lead the Crimson.
