CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles scored 13 runs while pounding out 17 hits in Charleston's 13-4 win over Salem International Thursday evening at Appalachian Power Park, their 6
th straight victory.

-UC fell behind early as the Tigers plated 3 runs in the top half of the 2
nd off Charleston starter Austin Henrich who was making his first start of the 2017 season. The starter settled in after the 2
nd, working 6 innings and allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, striking our 3.

rd, the Golden Eagles took the lead for good when junior DH Tristan Fields belted a towering 2-run HR over the left field wall that put UC 5-4 entering the 4

-UC outscored the Tigers 11-3 over the final 6 innings while getting strong relief work from Levi Nash and Harrison Bell who combined to throw 3 scoreless innings, striking out 2 batters each.

-Freshman first baseman Nick Wilson had a perfect night at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, scoring 2 runs and driving in a run.
-Junior catcher Steven Davis had 3 hits on the evening, scored 2 runs, knocked in a run and stole 3 bases.
-Tristan Fields hit his 2
