Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Softball team (35-20) fell to the #2 seeded West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (45-7) on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the bottom of the first, Brooklyn Waddell hit a homerun to to bring the score to 1-0.
-The Golden Eagles went scoreless in the top of the second. In the bottom of the second Krista Wagoner hit a homer to right field giving the Bobcats the 2-0 lead.
-In the bottom of the third Olivia Gore hit a double to right field with Waddell on second to give Wesleyan the 3-run advantage.
-The next two innings were scoreless for both teams, until the bottom of the sixth when Jessica Rodriguez hit a 2-run homer to take the 5-0 lead.
-The Golden Eagles were unable to equalize in the final inning giving the Bobcats the 5-0 victory.
