KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The University of Charleston took on the Watson Course of Reunion Resort to start the NCAA DII Men's Golf Championship on Monday afternoon, posting a first round score of 312 to begin the championship.
The Golden Eagles along with 19 other NCAA Division II teams from across the United States teed off Monday.  Charleston is paired with CSU - East Bay and Lindenwood University for the first two rounds of the event with the third round pairing to be determined following Tuesday's round.
UC got off to a rocky start to the championship, posting the round's highest total at the conclusion of Monday.  Junior Lewis Fenn and sophomore Ritwik Jain turned in the lowest scorecards for Charleston, shooting a 6-over 76 while seniors Viktor Pustow and Cody Kotva along with junior Justin Westveer each turned in identical scores, 80, 10 over par.
Charleston will look to gain ground on the field Tuesday morning, teeing off at 8:25 a.m.
