CHARLESTON, W.Va. –  The University of Charleston Softball team (35-19, 22-10 MEC) fell to the Concord University Mountain Lions 2-0 on Saturday afternoon eliminating them from the MEC Tournament.

LOCATION –SALEM, Va.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Neither team sent a runner home during the first two innings. In the top of the third inning Lauren Lewis hit a single to center field allowing Lindsey Stahl to score the first run of the game.
-The fourth inning was scoreless for both teams, but in the bottom of the fifth the Mountain Lions took the 2-0 lead when Alayna Furr was able to score on a throwing error by the Charleston catcher.
-Concord held on through the sixth and seventh innings to seal the 2-0 victory over the Golden Eagles.
