CHARLESTON, WV. – The Golden Eagles (8-7, 4-5 MEC) fell to the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (2-13, 2-7 MEC) on Thursday evening.

How It Happened
-The game remained close throughout the first half, with neither team leading by more than three points. The Bobcats began to pull away with three minutes to play to head into the locker room leading the Golden Eagles 40-31.
-The Bobcats continued to lead the Golden Eagles through the second half holding a 12-point advantage with 10 minutes to play.
-With an 11 point lead in the waning minutes of the second half the Golden Eagles went on a 16-7 lead to tie the game up with just over two minutes to play.
-WVWC began to pull away again to take a 84-81 victory over the Golden Eagles.
Charleston Individual Leaders
-Austin Howard led the Golden Eagles with 21 points, earning a career high for three pointers made with 6.
-Keir Anderson tallied 19 points and three assists in the loss.
West Virginia Wesleyan Individual Leaders
-Aaron Ariri led the Bobcats with 19 points.
