CHARLESTON, WV. – The Golden Eagles (10-7, 6-5 MEC) defeated the Concord Mountain Lions 82-65 (8-8, 5-6 MEC) 85-79 in Thursday night MEC action.

How it Happened
-The score remained tight in the opening four minutes with a scored tied a 9-9, but the Golden Eagles took off on a 17-6 run to lead 26-15 with just over eight minutes to play in the first half. The Golden Eagles held onto their lead to head into the break with an 18 point lead over the Mountain Lions.
-Coming out of the break Concord outscored the Golden Eagles 12-4 in the opening minutes of the half to get within ten points of the Golden Eagles, but Charleston would continue to pull away and lead by as many as 24 points with 2:28 to play in regulation.
-Charleston would go on to win 82-65 to improve to 10-7 on the season.
Charleston Individual Leaders
-Keir Anderson led the Golden Eagles with with 19 points.
-Forward, Anton Ivey talled 13 points and five rebounds, while Ke'Andre Gibson scored 12 points, had four assists and five steals in the win.
Concord Individual Leaders
-Tommy Bolte led the Mountain Lions with 26 points.
