CHARLESTON, WV. – The Golden Eagles (8-6, 4-4 MEC) fell to the No. 4 West Liberty Hilltoppers (13-0, 8-0 MEC) on Saturday afternoon. Freshman forward Lamont McManus scored a season high 26 points in the loss.

How It Happened
After a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals on Thursday night, the Golden Eagles headed to West Liberty to face the No. 4 ranked Hilltoppers. The Hilltoppers built a 16-point advantage over the Golden Eagles midway through the first half. West Liberty went into the break leading the Golden Eagles by 25 (55-30).
After the break the Golden Eagles could not get out from the behind the Hilltoppers who held a 24-point lead with 10 minutes to play. Lamont McManus led the Golden Eagles with 26 points for a career day, but the Golden Eagles would fall 106-80 to West Liberty.
