How It Happened
The first set of play was even between the two sides for most of the set, however, the Cardinals slowly began to pull away from the Golden Eagles, falling 25-17, giving WJU the lead. Heading into the second set of play, the Golden Eagles trailed the Cardinals by a set, and could not seem to find their footing and gain the edge. Although battling hard, Charleston was not able to outplay the Cardinals, falling in the second set 25-15.
The last set of the day was a quick one, as UC fell 25-13 against visiting Wheeling Jesuit. The Golden Eagles were not able to outplay the No. 1 Regionally ranked Wheeling Jesuit, falling 3-0.
