CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles winning streak ended on Tuesday night, as they fell to the Senators from Davis & Elkins, 1-3 (25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 25-18).

How It Happened
The Golden Eagles lost on Tuesday night 1-3, falling to the Senators in sets 1, 2, and 4. In the first set of play, Charleston hung with Davis & Elkins, falling two points short, with a 23-25 score in the first set. The second set of play was a similar story as the Golden Eagles were unable to hang onto the Senators, trailing behind by six points, 19-25.
Heading into the third set, the Golden Eagles realized the need to win this set in order to stay in the game, turning up the energy, and defeating the Senators 25-19, with a kill from junior Sydney Burt to seal the win.
The last set of play was the final win that the Senators needed to take home the win, defeating the Golden Eagles 18-25.
