CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-23) to the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday night, putting their 2018 record at 14-16.

How It Happened
The Golden Eagles fell in three sets on Tuesday night, after the Yellow Jackets from West Virginia State defeated them. The first set of play was fairly even between the two sides for the first 10 points, but slowly West Virginia State began to pull away, defeating UC 25-16.
 
The second set of play was a similar story for the Golden Eagles, as WVSU pulled away after the 20^thpoint. The sides went back and forth until they were tied at 20-20, but the Golden Eagles could not keep up with the energy of the Yellow Jackets, giving up the next five points, and losing the set 25-20.
 
The last set of play was the closest set between UC and WVSU, but Charleston was not able to hold on, falling to the Yellow Jackets 25-23, and 3-0 on the day.
