THE GAME

Just like Friday evening's game the Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead, scoring five runs in the first three frames to lead the Golden Eagles 5-0 through three innings.  And just like the day before, Charleston hung a 5-run inning on the Bulldogs, plating five in the fourth inning to even the game at 5-5. Gianfranco Morello, Steven Davis, Brice Arrington, and Colton Bauer each had a RBI in the five-run fourth.

The game remained 5-5 until the Bulldogs bottom half of the sixth inning, where they scored a pair of runs on Charleston reliever Anthony Zona to take a 7-5 lead over the Golden Eagles.  Wingate put the game out of reach with a five-run inning of their own in the seventh, getting to UC's Levi Nash who was only able to record a single out in his appearance.

Charleston couldn't come up with a comeback, eventually falling to the Bulldogs in consecutive days.  UC's Arrington and Bauer each go 2-for-4 with a RBI while Zona takes the loss in relief of starter Austin Henrich.
