How it Happened
Charleston never led in the match, losing the opening point of each of the three sets. The Golden Eagles couldn't find an answer for the Nittany Lion attack as the hosts hit at .446 for the match. It was obvious Penn State was focused following their upset loss to George Mason just the night before. UC, on the other hand, struggled on their attack for much of the evening, hitting at just a .174 clip in the three-set loss.
Charleston goes to 0-5 all-time vs. Penn State dating back to the first match against the Nittany Lions in the spring of 2016 when the Golden Eagles first joined the EIVA.
