CHARLESTON, WV – The University of Charleston men's basketball team (13-9, 9-7 MEC) downed the Glenville State Pioneers (4-17, 3-13 MEC) to improve to 13-9 on the season.

How it Happened
Charleston wasted no time in gaining their lead, earning a 12-point advantage after five minutes of play. The Pioneers climbed their way back to tie the game up 21-21 with seven minutes to play with a three-pointer by Jon Dunmyer. Glenville state held on to go into halftime with a five-point lead over Charleston. Glenville was led by Darhius Nunn with 15 points. Austin Howard led the Golden Eagles into the half with eight points and two assists.
 
The Pioneers came out of the half holding on to their lead. At 17:34 Keir Anderson tied the game up 39-39. After exchanging the lead nine times Anderson drained a three to give the Golden Eagles the 57-59 lead. Charleston maintained their lead through the final nine minutes of play to defeat Glenville State 77-69.
