CHARLESTON, W.Va. – UC had yet another stellar performance on Monday afternoon, defeating the visiting West Virginia State Yellow Jackets 9-0, adding another win to their 9-3 record.

The Golden Eagles started the day strong in doubles play, with all three spots pushing past their opponents. No. 1 spot doubles tandem Ben Lakeman and Joao Tayar had a clean sweep against WVSU, winning 8-0, with No. 2 doubles duo Tom Andrews and Marcelo Quevedo producing a similar story, also winning 8-0. Jason Prince and Michael Phillips wrapped up doubles play at the No. 3 spot, defeating the Yellow Jackets 8-2.
 
Man of the match No. 1 singles spot Ben Lakeman had an outstanding performance, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-0. Joao Tayar at No. 2 singles followed suit, winning 6-0, 6-1. The rest of singles play went well for the Golden Eagles as No. 3 Tom Andrews, No. 4 Rob Berry, No. 5, Jason Prince, and No. 6 Sean Cajas all defeated their opponents with ease, leading to a 9-0 victory for Charleston.


Charleston will face Concord University on Monday, April 2^nd, at 4:00 P.M. in Athens, WV.
