Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 INSTITUTE, WV –  The University of Charleston Golden Eagles fell in two games to West Virginia State. Charleston dropped game one 2-5 followed by a 7-0 shutout by the Yellow Jackets to seal the sweep.

How it Happened 
GAME 1: 
Brittany Allison doubled to right center in the bottom of the first to send the first run home for the Yellow Jackets. Danielle Lebstock hit a two-RBI double to right center to give the Yellow Jackets a 3-0 advantage. 

Karli Pinkerton doubled down the left field line in the top of the third to bring Ansley Warner home cutting the WVSU lead to 3-1. Alliyah Pullins reached on an error in the bottom of the fourth for the fourth State run of the game. 

In the bottom of the fifth Hale singled to center field sending Kayleigh Thompson home. The Yellow Jackets took game one 5-1. 

GAME 2: 
West Virginia State got on the board in the bottom of the first followed by their second run in the bottom of the second.  

Unable to get the bats going the Golden Eagles suffered through a three-run fifth inning and a two-run sixth inning from the Yellow Jackets en route to a 7-0 loss. The Golden Eagles dropped game two to be swept by West Virginia State.
