Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHARLESTON, WV –  The Golden Eagles picked up an their first MEC of the season against the Urbana Blue Knights on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened 
GAME 1: 
In the top of the first the Blue Knights sent a runner home after a double from #4 who advanced to third on the throw. The Golden Eagles answered with a double from short stop Emily Dutton who brought AJ Martin in for the tying run. After a scoreless second inning for the Blue Knights the Golden Eagles tallied two runs in the bottom of the second to put the UC up 3-1.
 
In the top of the fourth the Blue Knights went up 4-3 with, but the golden Eagles took back the 5-4 lead with a double by Haleigh Christopher in the bottom of the fourth sending Martin and Pinkerton home.
 
A single in the bottom of the sixth from Dutton sent Martin home for the 6-4 lead.
 
The Golden Eagles took game one 6-4.

GAME 2: 
The Golden Eagles got on the board first tallying four runs in the bottom of the third. After a SAC fly from AJ martin in the bottom of the fourth the Golden Eagles took the 5-0 lead with two outs and a runner on third. During the next at bat, Danielle Norton hit a single to left field sending Ansley Warner home for the 6-0 lead.
 
The Golden Eagles would score three more runs in the third to go up 9-0. Urbana was unable to get the bats going in the fourth. In the bottom of the fourth the Golden Eagles batted in four more runs to take game two 13-0.
