How it Happened
GAME 1:
The Yellow Jackets went on a scoring run in the top of the first with seven runs scored, followed by a seventh inning homer by Brittany Allison to give WVSU the 8-0 lead. The Golden Eagles were able to avoid the shutout with a run in the bottom of the seventh, but fell in game one, 8-1.
GAME 2:

Allison hit a single to right field, advancing on an error allowing Brookelyn Hale to score in the top of the first inning. Micca Mirabella sent Huck home with a single to the shortstop in the top of the second. Two more runs were scored in the top of the second to give the Yellow Jackets a 4-0 lead over the Golden Eagles.
The Yellow Jackets scored an additional four runs in the top of the sixth to take a commanding 8-0 lead over Charleston. In the bottom of sixth with just one out on the board, the Golden Eagles hit five straight singles to send five runs home cutting the Yellow Jacket lead to just three runs.
WVSU score two more runs in the top of the seventh to go up by five. Haleigh Christopher flied out to left field sending Pinkerton home for the 10-6 score. Despite the impressive sixth inning run the Golden Eagles fell in game two 10-6.
