PHILIPPI, W.Va. – For the second time this season University of Charleston men's volleyball knocked off Alderson Broaddus University, sweeping the Battlers in straight sets for their 13^th win of 2018.

How it Happened
The Golden Eagles got career-highs from freshmen Ian Barker and Stefan Krumerac as each finished with team-high eight kills to push Charleston past Alderson Broaddus in three sets.  Although UC got off to a slow start to Tuesday's match allowing AB to score the first four points, Charleston rebounded quickly to cruise to a 25-19 opening set victory. 
 
The Charleston attack put together a strong second and third set, hitting well over .300 in each of the sets en route to the straight-set win.  Krumerac put the finishing touch on both the final two sets, converting on set and match point to hand the Battlers their 18^th loss on the seaon.

NOTABLES

 

• It marks the first time in program history that Charleston men's volleyball swept the season series with the Battlers after splitting last season's two-match series.  The Golden Eagles were winless against Alderson Broaddus in the first two seasons of Charleston volleyball.
