CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston's men's tennis team fell on Friday afternoon, losing to the Fairmont State Falcons 6-3.
It was a rough start for the Golden Eagles, as they fell in all three doubles matches to the Falcons, leading to a loss on the day for UC. Things began to look up in singles play, as UC's No. 1 singles spot Ben Lakeman won his match 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, however this win along with wins from Charleston's Thomas Andrews at No. 3 singles (5-7, 6-3, 6-4), and Alek Gracin at No. 4 singles (6-3, 3-6, 6-3), were not enough to secure a win for the Golden Eagles, eventually falling 6-3 to Fairmont State.
Charleston will face West Liberty University on Saturday, April 7
th at 1:00 PM in West Liberty, W.Va.
