How It Happened
Things were looking down for Charleston after the first set of play, as they trailed State 1-0. However, heading into the second set, the Yellow Jackets were not ready for the energy and momentum that the Golden Eagles brought. Senior Carly Granger started the scoring for UC, as Charleston downed State 25-21 in the second set of play.

The third set of play was the closest set of the day, with the lead bouncing back and forth between the two teams. Eventually, the Yellow Jackets could not keep up with the pace of UC, falling 27-25. Charleston's Chloe Massaro was a key to UC's success in this set with 13 assists.

The Golden Eagles sealed the deal after the fourth set of play, outplaying WVSU, beating them 25-18. UC picked up speed in the last set of play, leading by four or more for most of the set. Charleston took home the win, defeating the Yellow Jackets 3-1.
