CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston men's basketball team defeated the Urbana Blue Knights on Wednesday night 87-58, moving their overall record to 13-6.

How it Happened
The first half of play was led by the Golden Eagles, as they led throughout most of the duration of the first 20 minutes. Josh Floyd started out the scoring for the Golden Eagles, with a layup from a steal. Charleston continued to lead over the Blue Knights, going up 33-18 with 6:49 left to play. The Golden Eagles continued to push, ending the half with a layup from Drew Rackley.
UC's Floyd led Charleston in the first half with 11 points, while Rackley gave the Golden Eagles three assists. Charleston went 17-25 from the three-point line, and totaled 26 points in the paint.
The second half of play was a familiar story, as the Golden Eagles continued to force pressure on the visitor's defense. The first 10 minutes of the half were led by Charleston's Lamont McManus, as he gave Charleston six points, and three layups. Floyd continued to knock baskets in, finishing the game with 19 points. The Golden Eagles pushed past the visitors, winning the game 87-58.
Charleston went 3-11 from the three-point line in the second half, and led for the entire half. The Golden Eagles totaled 21 rebounds, and rounded up two steals in the win over the Blue Knights.
