CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Junior guard Drew Rackley led the Golden Eagles efforts with 17 points, but it was not enough to down the Notre Dame Falcons on the road. Charleston fell 69—75 in MEC action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
The Golden Eagles found themselves in a three-point deficit after going 12-33 from the field in the first half. Notre Dame's Will Vorhees powered through the Golden Eagles defensive effort tallying 20 points in the first half for the Falcons.
The game saw eight lead changes in the first half, with both teams keeping their advantages to the single digits. After shooting 48 percent in the first half of competition the Falcons went into the locker room with a 37-34 lead over the Golden Eagles.
After the break the Falcons held onto their lead until the 13 minute mark, when Charleston's Keith Williams put Charleston on top 44-43. Notre Dame would quickly regain their lead, and continued to spread the gap between themselves and the Golden Eagles. Vorhees once again led the Falcon effort with 12 points in the second half.
Charleston still only shooting in the 30-percent range was unable to find the basket in the second half. The Golden Eagles fell by six points to Notre Dame on the road.
