CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Golden Eagles remain atop Mountain East Conference play after a 3-0 victory over the Wheeling University Cardinals Thursday night. Led by Plutarchos Alonefti with two goals in the contest. The Golden Eagles will head to South Eculid, Ohio to face the Notre Dame Falcons on Sunday.

Last Game: After a strong first half of defense from both sides, Charleston was able to get on the board just over five minutes into the second half on a goal from Ploutarchos Alonefti on an assist from Christopher Allan. The goal marked Alonefti's first of the evening, as the Golden Eagles prevailed once again in the 68^th minute of play after loose ball just outside the box found Alonefti for his second goal of the contest.Charleston would add one more on some craft footwork from Eduardo Iranzo before finding Joao Lima in front of the net, advancing the Charleston lead and final score to 3-0.
