CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Charleston Golden Eagles are set to take on cross-town rivals, West Virginia State in the NCAA Division II showcase game on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m. in Institute.

Directions to WVSU
From Charleston:
Travel nine miles West towards Huntington on Interstate 64. Take exit 50 (Institute Exit). Turn left at the stop sign, onto US Highway 25. Visitor parking is adjacent to the Visitor's Center. Check in at the Visitor's Center, located along Barron Drive, to obtain a visitor's pass for parking.
From Huntington:
Travel 40 miles East towards Charleston on Interstate 64. Get off of the Interstate at exit 50 (Institute Exit). Turn Left at the stop sign, onto US Highway 25. Visitor parking is adjacent to the Visitor's Center. Check in at the Visitor's center, located along Barron Drive, to obtain a visitor's pass for parking.
Admission/Parking/Concessions
- Admission is free to all students, faculty, and staff that present a valid WVSU ID.
- Parking is available on campus at no cost to visitors.
- Tickets for patrons of the football game without a WVSU ID are $10 (cash only) to be charged at the gate.
- Concessions will be available for purchase (cash only).
- Tailgating for football games is encouraged. Alcohol is permitted outside of the confines of Dickerson Stadium and tobacco products may be consumed in designated smoking areas.

GAME NOTES
Two of the nation's top passing attacks will be on display Saturday. Charleston currently ranks third in NCAA Division II with 331 passing yards per game, while West Virginia State is seventh-best with 317 passing yards per game.
Last Time: West virginia State defeated the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan in the closing seconds of regulation by scoring two Touchdowns in the final two minutes of the game. Senior quarterback Austin Hensley completed 28 of his 54 pass attempts for 382 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Sophomore wideout Tyrone Lyte was targeted eight times. His 118 receiving yards was a career-high.
About the Opposition:
Passing Success : WVSU RANKS 7TH IN NCAA DIVISION II IN PASSING OFFENSE, AVERAGING NEARLY 317 YARDS/GAME. SENIOR QUARTERBACK AUSTIN HENSLEY ranks 7th in Division II in total passing yards with 2,394.
On the Defensive side: Junior Linebacker Dylan Crouser ranks 3rd in NCAA Division II in solo Tackles with 53 on the season, just five behind the top spot while ranking 4th in total tackles with 97 on the season.
2019 Success: West Virginia State is off to their best 8-game start since the 2008 season, where they also started 6-2. State finished the season 7-3 that season.
