CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston women's volleyball team will be back at home tomorrow as they are scheduled to take on cross-town rivals West Virginia State University at 7:00 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets are 18-12 overall on the season and have a 10-3 record in the MEC. They currently sit in sole possession of third place in the MEC. They were winners in their previous two matches as they took down both Concord and Glenville in three sets.
Charleston enters the game coming off of two wins as well. They beat Concord last Friday night by a score of 3-2 and beat Glenville on Saturday afternoon 3-1. UC now has a 10-19 overall record and are 5-8 in the conference. With their win over Concord this weekend, they have put themselves in the sole possession of eighth place in the MEC. With three games left to be played in the season, the Golden Eagles look as if they will be one of the eight teams playing in the MEC tournament this year.
UC has played WVSU once already this season on the road where they lost to the Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-1. The Golden Eagles will look to use their home court advantage to take down the Yellow Jackets and improve their record to 11-19.
