CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles (15-7, 10-6 MEC) took a fast 9-0 lead to open up competition and never looked back as they shot a season best 58 percent to down the Glenville State Pioneers (9-13, 4-12 MEC) 102-73 on Saturday afternoon in the Wehrle Innovation Center.

How it Happened
The Golden Eagles jumped to a 9-0 lead in the opening minutes of the first half and never looked back. The Golden Eagles shot 58 percent from the field in the first half and continued to spread the gap between themselves and the Pioneers leading by 26-points heading into the break.
Sophomore point guard Seth O'Neal opened the second half with a three-pointer to put the Golden Eagles up by 29. As the clock ticked the Golden Eagles offense continued to overpower the Pioneers, and with just over 12 minutes to play the Golden Eagles had a comfortable 44-point lead.
The Golden Eagles saw four players reach career milestones in the victory. Sophomore point guard Seth O'Neal scored a career high 20 points in the Golden Eagles victory. Jeramie Burge had a career night with 12 points, all which were from behind the arc. Freshman guard Keith Williams notched a career high 15 points. Teemu Tumanoff a freshman from Vantaa, Finland, tallied seven points for a career high. The trio of O'Neal, Williams, and Burge also set a career mark for three pointers in the victory.
Charleston held onto their lead for a 102-73 victory.
