HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- University of Charleston men's tennis opened their Spring Break with a 7-0 shutout of regional foe Kutztown University on Tuesday afternoon to begin their week in Hilton Head.
The Golden Eagles dropped only a total of three games as they swept the Bears in doubles, including a 6-0 score at No. 3 doubles from the tandem of Bryson Tye and Ian Morrison. Â Things were just as easy as Charleston moved into singles as all six Golden Eagles won in straight sets highlighted by Tristen Shaw at No. 6 handing out a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of his Bear opponent.
Charleston improves to 3-1 on the season and gets back on the courts Wednesday to take on University of Missouri - St. Louis.
