CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- University of Charleston men's tennis opened their MEC slate of matches Wednesday afternoon, defeating the visiting Mountain Lions from Concord University, 7-0, at Schoenbaum Courts.
The Golden Eagles swept all three doubles courts to take a 1-0 lead over Concord heading to singles. Â UC made easy work of the Mountain Lions as all six Charleston players won in straight sets in their first MEC match of the 2019 season.
Charleston returns to the courts on Thursday afternoon, traveling to Institute, W.Va. to take on West Virginia State University. Â First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. on the Yellow Jacket campus.
