–The Golden Eagles defeated Juniata College 3-1 (25-14, 25-23, 25-27, 30-28), on Wednesday night, with an outstanding performance from freshman Lachlan Bray who totaled 25 kills.

How It Happened
The first set of play between the Golden Eagles and Juniata started off evenly, as both teams battled to take the first set. The set went back and forth, until Charleston began to pull away after their 11
thpoint. Juniata tried to make up the gap between the two teams, but was unsuccessful, allowing UC to take the set 25-14.The Golden Eagles totaled three blocks total in the first set, and Lachlan Bray gave UC six kills.
Heading into set two of the match, Charleston came out with energy, forcing Juniata's defense to work hard. UC and Juniata went point for point, but a kill from Max Senica pushed UC to a 24-23 lead, giving Charleston momentum to try and take the set from the hosts. The Golden Eagle's Ian Barker ended the set with a service ace, putting UC up 2-0.
Set three was full of intensity between the two teams, as both of them wanted to snag a second set and push themselves ahead. Juniata was able to lift themselves past the Golden Eagles, winning the set 27-25, forcing the match into a fourth set.
The fourth set was all Charleston, as they continued to work against Juniata. However, the hosts were not ready to give up easily, putting the game at match point three times. UC continued to defend the attacks from Juniata, with a kill from Adriel Roberts setting ending the set, and giving Charleston a 3-1 win on the day.
