URBANA, Ohio. -- University of Charleston men's golf sits in second place following the opening round of the MEC Spring Classic at Urbana Country Club.

The Golden Eagles (+10) are three shots back of the leader Davis & Elkins College (+7) heading into Monday's final round.  Rounding out the top-five is West Liberty (+12) in third place followed by UVa.-Wise and Fairmont State tied for fourth at 14-over.  

Leading the way for UC is Robin Haesslich and Ritwik Jain who are tied for fifth individually after posting an opening round 1-over, 73.  Also scoring for Charleston is Eoin Cunniffe, Mitch Hoffman and Mason Weese who all turned in a scorecard of 4-over, 76 which puts them all in a tie for 16th overall.

The final round is set for Monday afternoon with tee times yet to be determined.  Results can be found HERE
