CHARLESTON, W. Va. -- The University of Charleston Softball team has cracked the DII rankings sitting at No. 22 before heading into their spring break campaign at the PFX Spring Games.
Heading into the eight game schedule for the week, the Golden Eagles were 8-0, among the nations few undefeated teams. Charleston currently has six batters hitting in the lineup with over a .300 average, led by junior second baseman, Kendal Marsahll who is holding a .485 average on the year.
In the circle, the Charleston pitching staff has a combined ERA of .71, allowing only 37 hits in 79.0 innings. Freshman, Dani Bauer is the Golden Eagles strikeout leader with 54 this season, only allowing 21 hits and seven runs in her 11 appearances.
Charleston has gone 4-0 during their road campaign at the PFX games, and will pick up against Atlantic region opponent, Seton Hill on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
