David Scragg earned the low round in the opening round of the 87
th West Virginia Open qualifier held at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane on Monday. After starting +2 through the first two holes and +3 through four, Scragg was able to rally back, birdying three of the next five holes before finishing the round at even par.
Scragg, who graduated from Charleston this past May while studying Criminal Justice and Political Science, earned MEC First-Team honors this season while with the Golden Eagles.
