BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Charleston's John Giesberts has been named Mountain East Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Giesberts, a sophomore from Burgdorf, Germany, helped lead UC to a key 4-1 regional win over Edinboro over the weekend. He won his match at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2, and helped UC to the doubles point with a 6-4 win.

Giesberts transferred to Charleston after spending his freshman season (2018-19) at Holy Names and his sophomore year (2019-20) at Division-I Northern Colorado.
