HOW IT HAPPENED:
From the opening draw, Charleston went on the attack and riffled off their first goal just under a minute into the game off the stick of Yuhas, assisted by
Colleen Ryan.
Over the course of the next twenty minutes, the next five goals scored alternated between the Golden Eagles and Saints, with
Isabelle Pisani scoring the first for Charleston and Yuhas recording the next two.
With Charleston leading 4-3, the Golden Eagles were able to regain momentum going into the half, scoring a pair of unanswered goals from
Kayleigh Burns (1:43) and Yuhas (1:04) to extend their lead to 6-3 headed into the break.
In the second half, the offense was kept to a minimum as just five goals were scored and Ursuline holding a 3-2 advantage. In the half,
Elishia Davis was able to tally a pair of goals for the Golden Eagles which allowed for Charleston to bring home an 8-6 victory to open the season.

Georgia Ryan collected 12 saves while allowing six goals (.667 PCT), playing all 60 minutes of the contest.
The Golden Eagles held the advantage in shots, ground balls, clear percentage, and draw controls on their way to the win.
