CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston men's volleyball program took the George Mason Patriots to four sets in EIVA action Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
George Mason fell in set one to the Golden Eagles 25-21, followed by three close sets in in favor of the Patriots to clinch the win.
Marten Bartels led the way for the Golden Eagles with 15.5 points in the contest. The senior had 12 kills and six digs, and two solo blocks to lead the Charleston effort.
Jake Vorburger had a team-high 15 kills and hit .222. and setter Diego Villefane paced the Golden Eagles to .220 hitting percentage for the match.
Charleston set the tone for the match coming out to a 25-21 victory in the first set. But the Patriots took sets two, three, and four all by five points or less.
The Patriots tallied 10 service aces to the Golden Eagles three in the contest.
Hayden Wagner led the charge for the patriots with 21 points in the contest, on 18 kills.
