Lacrosse Drops Game to Notre Dame College on Wednesday Afternoon

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio. – The University of Charleston Lacrosse team (2-4, 1-2 MEC) fell on the road this afternoon to the Falcons from Notre Dame College 13-8 at Mueller Field. The Golden Eagles were led by Elishia Davis & Mckenna Kincaid, who accounted for seven of the teams' eight goals scored on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
From the start, the Falcons got off to a hot start by tallying four goals in just a four-minute span while spreading the offense around with four different Notre Dame players recording a goal.
 
The Golden Eagles got on the board for the first time when Davis tallied her first of four goals on the day to cut the deficit to just three goals. From there, the Falcons would go on to score the next three goals and increased their lead to 7-1 with 17:43 remaining in the half.
 
To close the half, Charleston would gain momentum behind goals from Davis and Tess Yuhas to end the opening frame on a 3-1 run while cutting the Notre Dame lead to 8-4 at the half.
 
To open the second, the Golden Eagles kept the momentum moving in a forward direction, notching the first three goals of the half while holding the Falcons scoreless for ten minutes.
 
Leading 8-7, Notre Dame would go on to score five of the last six goals of the game while taking home a 13-8 victory.

Charleston goalkeeper Georgia Ryan finished the game with 13 saves while Falcon keeper Mackenzie Levine finished the game with 12.

Charleston will stay on the road and take on the Bobcats from Frostburg State on Saturday at 1:00 PM in Frostburg, Maryland.
