BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The University of Charleston's Drew Hefner is the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, as reported by the conference on Monday. 

Hefner, a senior from Bridgeport, W.Va., helped UC to a 4-1 record in five games last week. He hit .438 on the week going 7-for-16, and also walked five times and was hit by a pitch once. He roped a pair of doubles, including a walk-off shot with two outs, as UC rallied past Findlay. He had six RBI on the week.
