BUCKHANNON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston lacrosse team captured victory in their final game of the regular season, downing the Bobcats from West Virginia Wesleyan 21-3 on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Golden Eagles have secured the #4 seed in the upcoming MEC Tournament, where they will take on #1 Frostburg State on Sunday. Elishia Davis led the way for Charleston offensively on Sunday, scoring seven goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After the Bobcats got on the board just four minutes into the game, it was the Golden Eagles who would go on to seven straight goals over the next 20 minutes of the half. Six different Golden Eagles scored over the 7-0 run. After a quick goal from the Bobcats to end their scoreless streak, Charleston went on to score two of the next three goals to end the half holding a 9-3 lead.
Over the course of the second half, the Golden Eagles did not surrender a goal, doing a phenomenal job on the defensive end. Charleston would score 12 goals over the course of the half, including four from Davis and three from McKenna Kincaid on their way to a 21-3 victory.
Georgia Ryan had a quiet afternoon in goal, allowing just three goals while making three saves to pick up the win.
