CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Lacrosse team (3-5, 2-3 MEC) found the back of the net 18 times, including 12 in the first half, in route to an 18-2 victory over the Bobcats from West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday evening. Tess Yuhas led the charge on offense, scoring five goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Golden Eagles found the back of the net less than 90 seconds into the game after Yuhas notched the opening goal. Just four minutes later, it was Yuhas again who gave Charleston a 2-0 lead at the 24:45 mark.
Over the course of the next 16 minutes, five different Golden Eagles notched a goal, as the Golden Eagles led 9-0 with 8:33 remaining in the half. The Bobcats scored their first goal at the 8:13 mark in the half after Lauren Bolen squeaked one by Charleston keeper Georgia Ryan.
From there on out, the Golden Eagles would score three more goals and carry a 12-1 lead into the break.
To begin the half, Charleston scored the first six goals of the game to increase their lead 18-1. Iris Kolenich scored the final goal of the game for the Bobcats, cutting the Charleston lead to 16 in the final minute.
Charleston goalkeeper Georgia Ryan finished the game with six saves while Bobcat keeper Gabrielle Cleaveland finished the game with 14.
Six different Golden Eagles found the back of the net as Yuhas (5), Elishia Davis (4), McKenna Kincaid (3), Gianni Blundell (3), Renee Gering (2), and Kayleigh Burns (1) all contributed to the scoring.
