Charleston, W. Va – Charleston finished first at the two-day Golden Eagle Invitational at Edgewood Country Club. The total score for the tournament was 571. David Scragg finished 1st, one stroke less than runner up Connor Bennick from Gannon. Bennick and Scragg had a nice battle, Scragg shooting a 70 first round while Bennick shot a 69. In the second round Bennick shot a 70 and Scragg shot a 68.
Mitch Hoffman was the next Golden Eagle to place, shooting a total of 141. Hoffman was in the race for the title after shooting a 69 for round one, then shot a 72 for round two, allowing him to place 3rd.
West Liberty and Davis & Elkins College tied for 2nd with a total score of 585.
