Box Score Charleston, W.Va- UC played their first home conference match against West Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday night. They dominated the match and walked away with a win in straight sets

How it Happened:
 
UC had some trouble in the first set but eventually were able to win by a score of 25-21.
 
The second set wasn't even close as the Golden Eagles handily defeated the visiting Bobcats by a score of 25-15.
 
UC went on an early run and held the advantage the rest of the way. Eventually the Golden Eagles wore down Wesleyan and won the decisive final set 25-10.
 
Bearnson led UC with 10 kills, Maria Hernandez had 28 assists, McKenzie Damon and Madison Jackson each collected 7 digs to lead the Golden Eagles on defense.
 
Up Next: UC will take on Davis and Elkins College on Friday, Oct. 1 at 7pm. This game will be their first road game in conference play.
