SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The University of Charleston men's basketball team played their sixth game of the season but fell short against Slippery Rock University on Saturday afternoon at Morrow Field House.

How It Happened
The Rocks got off to a quick 14-8 lead, until
Keith Williams bucketed back-to-back three-pointers, assisted by
Jeremiah Keene and
Deng Nhial. Followed with a layup from
Keene, the Golden Eagles evened the game at 16-16.
Slippery Rock gained more momentum as the Rocks added six points on the scoreboard. Charleston soon bridged the gap, making it four points between the Golden Eagles and the Rocks after a layup executed by
Deng Nhial, assisted by
Keene. Slippery Rock then extended the lead by 11, taking a 33–22 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, UC jumped to a quick start as
Tyler Eberhart tossed a layup, shortening Slippery Rock's lead by two.
Keaton Turner then shot a three-pointer with 7:15 left of the second half, but Charleston still trailed SRU.
Shunta Wilson scored with 21 seconds left on the game clock, however the Golden Eagles dropped to the undefeated Rocks with a final score of 73-59.
UC finished with six steals as
Keith Williams complemented the Golden Eagles with two of his own.
Wilson did his damage from the foul line, going 4-4 on the night.
Tyler Eberhart finished his impressive night with 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Golden Eagles.
