Charleston, W.Va. – Golden Eagles fall to nationally ranked West Liberty on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened:
Early in the match the Golden Eagles tested the Hilltoppers as they jumped out to a 17-11 lead heading into the first media timeout. For the next six minutes the Hilltoppers Bryce Butler went on a run scoring eight points to even the score at 25-25 with 7:38 left in the first half.
Several buckets were traded back and forth between the Golden Eagles and the Hilltoppers but at the end of the half West Liberty had a ten-point lead heading into the locker room up 47-37.
The Golden Eagles trailed the Hilltoppers for the remainder of the game falling to 3-2 in Mountain East Conference play.
Forty of Charleston's eighty-one points came in the paint.
Shunta Wilson lead the Golden Eagles with twenty points and four rebounds. Four Golden Eagles had double digits points on the night while the team shot fifty percent.
