The Eagles traveled to Elkins, West Virginia to take on the Davis & Elkins Senators in their first Mountain East Conference match up. The Eagles scored first with a goal by Sophomore, Gianni Blundell, and they refused to let up on the Senators. The Eagles scored 3 more goals before the Senators were able to answer back with a goal by freshman, Sydney Verlinghieri and two free position goals by both graduate student, Meghan Smith and freshman, Sophia Conzone. With 37 seconds left in the first, Blundell scored her second of the game giving the Eagles a 5-1 lead at the quarter change.Â

The Eagles continued to put pressure on the Senators in the 2
nd quarter. Defensively, UC held the Senators to four shots and only one goal with junior goalkeeper, Georgia Ryan making 3 saves for the Eagles. Offensively, the Eagles scored another 5 goals. Conzone made two free position goals in the 2
nd.  Smith along with junior, Destiny Jackson, and freshman, Hannah Calvert put up a goal each as well allowing the Eagles to have a comfortable 10-2 lead going into the half.

The Eagles started the second half strong with another goal by Blundell. The Senators answered back with their third goal of the game shortly after. Blundell continued dominating the offensive side for the Eagles with two back to back goals. Blundell's third goal of the quarter came with assistance from freshman, Gabby Bianchi. Calvert also got in on the action with a goal late in the 3
rd.  The Eagles still held pressure defensively throughout the 3
rd holding the Senators to only 6 shots. Freshman goalie, Jasmine James, came in late in the 3
rd and was able to make her first collegiate save to keep the Eagles at a 14-3 lead.

The Senators were first to score in the final quarter, but the Eagles pushed back hard on both sides of the field. The Eagle defense held the Senators to 4 shots, and James had two saves herself. The Eagles weren't finished with their offensive dominance either. Calvert and Verlinghieri scored one goal apiece, and Conzone put two on the board for the Golden Eagles. Bianchi earned another assist on the goal by Verlinghieri.Â

Overall, the Eagles dominated across the board. The team put up 41 shots to the Senators 18, won 15 of 24 draw controls, completed 16 of 17 clear attempts. Blundell won an impressive 7 draw controls with 1 caused turnover. Freshman, Madison Sobolewski, pressed hard for the Eagles with 2 control turnovers and 5 ground ball pick-ups. Conzone and Blundell both put up 5 goals each for the Eagles. Ryan made 4 saves for the Eagles, and James made 3 saves.       Â
